Fusion Motorsport is a student engineering team from Newman Catholic College competing in the STEM Racing Competition — designing, building, and racing a miniature car using real-world aerodynamics, physics, and manufacturing.
Fusion Motorsport is a student-led team from Newman Catholic College, Cairns, competing in the STEM Racing Competition — a national program that challenges young people to apply real engineering principles to design and race a miniature car.
We design and build using Autodesk Fusion 360, precision machining, and 3D printing — the same tools used by real-world engineers and manufacturers.
Our goal reaches beyond the track. We are building practical, career-ready skills in engineering, manufacturing, enterprise, and marketing.
Every surface, curve, and angle of our car exists for a reason. Designed in Fusion 360, machined from a solid balsa wood block, and finished with precision 3D-printed components — it is engineering at its most hands-on.
Your support directly funds students gaining hands-on experience in engineering, teamwork, and problem-solving. In return, we offer meaningful visibility at competitions, on our car, and across our social channels. Select a tier to see what is included.
Interested in partnering with Fusion Motorsport?
Every contribution directly supports students developing real engineering and business skills. We would love to discuss how we can work together.
Whether you are a potential sponsor, fellow STEM Racing competitor, parent, or media contact — we are happy to hear from you. Reach out via email and we will get back to you promptly.
